Meredith MacLeod is an award-winning writer, editor and teacher. I love conveying emotions, asking questions, and making the complex understandable. My journalism career spans more than 25 years, covering everything from crime to business (and sometimes the intersection of the two). I am now editor of Hamilton City Magazine, an urban arts, culture and lifestyle publication. I pride myself on delivering compelling, clean copy on any kind of deadline. I strive to always exceed expectations. My background includes a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Western Ontario and a honours bachelors degree in history and political science from McMaster University. I am the winner of a National Newspaper Award and have been nominated three times.
Christine MacLeod started her writing career as a copywriter and editor at an advertising agency in New York City. The agency focused on luxury real estate so when she exhausted creative ways to describe Italian marble foyers, she decided to expand her writing horizons in Europe. She worked as an editor in Germany and a speech writer in Spain. Now back in Toronto, Christine has developed a knack for storytelling and has experience with humour and speech writing, blogging, providing content for websites and social media, and research. Her work has recently been featured by the Globe and Mail and the United Nations Environmental Program Yearbook. Christine graduated from McMaster University in political science. She continued her education at Manhattan College and most recently at the University of Toronto.
